Where are the Men? by Paul Washer

Topic: Calling
Scripture(s): 1 Corinthians 16:13, Mark 1:32-39
Description: Paul Washer sometimes expounds a number of different (but often related) topics in his sermons, and this message is no exception. Preaching in Denmark, he opens with a plea for men who have a zeal for the Lord’s house, who will stand up and be counted, and will seize the opportunities for preaching the gospel while they exist. Moving on to Chapter 1 of Mark’s gospel, he shows how demanding life can be for the zealous man of God, as exemplified in the ministry of Jesus Christ himself. If the Son of God could not live on earth without prayer and secret communion with his Father, how much less can we. He was never too busy to pray; nor should we be. Everything we are in public, is formed by what we are in private when we are alone with God, says Mr Washer; and he then goes on to use the Luke 18 passage to expound the topic of persevering prayer, showing both how and why we should endure in prayer, how God delights in it, and what it can achieve.  Being Big Hearted by George Verwer

Topic: Love
Scripture(s): Mark 9:40
Description: Verwer believes that as Christians, we need more vision and more love. Avoiding narrow-mindedness is key when trying to accomplish the Great Commission together with all of our brothers and sisters in Christ. Divisions between denominations and views of the Holy Spirit must be minimized as we seek to "fellowship with all of God’s people

 Change by Robert B. Thompson

Topic:
Scripture(s): Mark 4:1-8, Romans 14:17, Matthew 6:33
Description: Dr. Thompson begins by equating the Kingdom of God with “change.” He says that the Kingdom is not primarily a "place" but rather it is a transformation in what you are, inside and out. He discusses the parable of the sower, and the different types of ground. He covers very practical ways to tell how you are doing in Christ today. He ties the parable of the sower in with the fruit of the spirit. A very entertaining, informative and practical sermon.

Beware Of Being Offended by Carter Conlon

Topic: Offences
Scripture(s): Mark 4:3-6, Mark 4:16-17
Description: September 26, 2010 - Many in the last days will be offended. The word offended means to be moved to leaning on your reasoning rather than trusting the plan that God has for your life. When difficulties and trails come you will be tempted to take another course and follow another Jesus. The key to avoid this is to have a deep abiding trust in the faithfulness of God, knowing that His ways are not our ways and He has a divine plan. Take comfort in knowing we are in hands that are much bigger than ours and we will be triumphed over. Jesus Christ promises us we will make it to the other side.

Becoming Familiar with the Presence of God by Carter Conlon

Topic: Presence of God
Scripture(s): Mark 3:31-35
Description: February 14, 2006 – Over time familiarity comes into the heart and produces a loss of awe for the presence of God. The presence of God was bought with the Blood of Jesus as He endured the violence of the cross through a passionate love for humanity. May we never become familiar and careless with the His presence that was purchased for a with a passionate love of a father that sent His only Son to Die on a cross so that we can be free.

One of You...! by Aaron Dunlop

Topic: Betrayal
Scripture(s): Mark 14:18, Psalm 41:9
Description: The Lord in the Upper Room, in speaking to a group of 'preachers' says "one of you shall betray me." In this Christ was making a personal application of Psalm 41:9 "Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me." This was a great exposure, not only of the traitor Judas but of... 1. The Saints Sensitive Heart (they all said "is it I?") 2. The Social Gospel (all the teaching and example of Christ is not enough to save the soul and sin is not in the fact that Judas did not follow protocol but that his heart was not right) 3. The Sinner's Hypocrisy (Judas has become a proverb for treachery and betrayal, but Christ exposes the heart).

57 Principle 53- Raising Up Many Leaders in the Body by Principles For The Gathering of Believers

Topic: Audio Books
Scripture(s): 1 Peter 2:5, Mark 10:42-45, 1 Peter 5:3
Description: Christians in North Korea are expected to be servant leaders and Spirit filled, to share the Word, pray, and preach the Gospel. One of the reasons for the continued existence and growth of the underground Church in North Korea is that they have not been dependent on a few highly esteemed leaders in the Church but have rather emphasized the raising up of all to be servant leaders who are able to edify and build the Church. At the same time the Church in North Korea recognizes whom God has specifically gifted as shepherds. Such servant leaders are esteemed but not idolized.
