Topic: Audio Books Scripture(s): 1 Peter 2:9, Mark 1:11, Matthew 28:19 | | Description: In Christendom there have been huge divisions over the doctrine of Baptism. Yet this practice is not something to be ignored for it is Biblical and needs to be exhibited in the life of the Church. Baptism is something that is reserved only for believers who have come “out of darkness into his wonderful light.”538 Many true believers became martyrs to defend and stand upon the truth of believer’s Baptism.

Brother Ed warns in closing that we're not to try to imitate Jesus in how He conquered temptation, but rather to appropriate Him, which is far higher.

| | (Luke) 17 - Fish & Man With Leprosy by Ed Miller
Topic: Leprosy Scripture(s): Luke 5:1-14, Mark 1:16-17 | | Description: The miraculous catch of fish is God's illustration of soul-winning: it is a mighty miracle of God. Your responsibility is not to win the lost; your responsibility is just to obey Jesus. Leprosy is a picture of sin and the cleansing which followed illustrates Jesus' willingness and ability to cleanse sin. The priestly examination of a cleansed leper signifies that it is not our verbal declaration that confirms our cleansing but others who watch our lives.

| | Licking Fish by Teresa Conlon
Topic: Scripture(s): Mark 6:30-38,John 6:6,Luke 17:5-6 | | Description: This message is about walking with the Lord in faith. We need to realize we do not have in ourselves the resources to do what we are commanded to do and have faith in God. He is our Resource. He says doubt not in your heart, don't trust in yourself for the kingdom of God is in you but not of you or about you. This will encourage those who like the disciples need their faith increased.

| | Obedience of Faith - Illustrated by the Disciples on the Stormy Sea by Ed Miller
Topic: Scripture(s): Mark 6:32-52, Matthew 13:13-33, John 6:1-21 | | Description: Ed Miller shows how futile it is to try to obey God apart from a miracle. Miller develops three ways disciples can relate to the Lord Jesus as occurs in the account on the stormy sea: Jesus on the mountain, Jesus on the sea, and Jesus on the boat. "God always deals with us as we are and where we are in order to make us what He wants us to be and to bring us to the place that He wants us." (NOTE: Pt. 1: "Obedience of Grace - Illustrated by Noah")

| | The Devil's Nightmare by Carter Conlon
Topic: Obstacles Scripture(s): Matthew 21:19-22, Mark 9:17-30 | | Description: Pastor Conlon begins in Matthew 21:19-22 on faith, and overcoming obstacles that hinder our victory. God wants us to come to him for the Holy Ghost as a people that will not be denied, that will rise up in faith and lay hold on the promises God has made, and appropriate and apply the spiritual authority given to us by Jesus. Pastor Conlon goes on to Mark 9:17-30. The casual seeker of God will never know the power of being able to walk in the spirit as Jesus did and be a vessel God can channel his power through to deliver those oppressed and bound by the enemy. A Message of obtainable victory. Must hear.

| | Yarib: Defender Of The People by Neil Rhodes
Topic: Scripture(s): Isaiah 51, Mark 9:22-24, Matthew 8:2-3 | | Description: When we come to God in prayer there has to be an active part on our behalf to believe Him to answer our prayers. If we have areas in our life that has never been confronted by the Holy Ghost we will become passive in our walk with God and be moved to unbelief. The heart of Jesus is to come and do for us what we cant do for ourselves

| | Mark by Zac Poonen
Topic: Mark Scripture(s): Mark | | Description: Zac draws attention to a wide variety of precious truths that shape a disciple being made after the likeness of Jesus. Hindrances include trying to make yourself into what God can only do, living under the law, asceticism, valuing human traditions more than God's Word, and setting you mind upon your own gain. Our encouragements are to receive the new wine--the life of Jesus--and come to know Jesus through the Scriptures.

| | The Book of Mark by Audio Bible NT - KJV
Topic: Audio Bible KJV Scripture(s): Mark | | Description: The Gospel of Mark, the shortest, is also held by most to be the first of the Gospels to be written. A tradition dating from the 2nd century ascribes this book to John Mark, a companion of Peter and also of Paul and Barnabas in their missionary endeavors. The preaching of Peter may well have been the source of most of Marks material. Mark accounts for the ministry of Jesus from His Baptism to His Ascension. Most commentaries agree that Marks purpose was neither biographical nor historical, but theological: to present Jesus as the Christ, the mighty worker rather than great teacher. Hence, Mark makes fewer references to the Parables and discourses, but meticulously records each of Jesus "mighty works" as evidence of His divine power. Mark contains 20 specific miracles and alludes to others. Bible scholars quite generally agree that Mark wrote his Gospel in Rome for the gentiles.
