Resting In Jesus by David Wilkerson

Topic:
Scripture(s): Isaiah 24:16-21,Jeremiah 30:17,Psalm 125:1-5
Description: Isaiah and Jeremiah were prophets who had the true word of the Lord, and warned Israel and Judah of severe judgment that was coming if they did not turn back to God. But even in spite of dreadful knowledge of what was coming, they did not despair of hope. They knew God had mercy and compassion, and would not destroy the righteous with the wicked. There are hard times coming but those who keep their minds stayed on the Lord will have perfect peace. No matter what happens, God is in control and is reigning on his throne.

Who Is Guarding The Front Door Of Your Home by David Wilkerson

Topic:
Scripture(s): Nehemiah 7,Isaiah 44:1-4
Description: We must examine ourselves for how we raised our children, and live our lives, for we will stand before a holy God and give account. Parents are responsible for what comes into their homes. Watchmen and guards must be appointed and we must all fast and pray for our homes and families. Pastor Wilkerson uses Nehemiah as an example of a caring watchman who was burdened for Israel when they were rebuilding the walls of the broken down city of Jerusalem.

Becoming a House For God by Robert B. Thompson

Topic:
Scripture(s): John 14:1-6, Isaiah 66:1, Acts 7:44-50, Ephesians 2:22-23
Description: Dr. Thompson touches on the difference between “going to Heaven” versus “going to The Father.” He addresses the problems with the King James word “mansion” in our understanding of what God is doing. He discusses in depth John 14:3. The “house” referred to in the phrase “In My Father’s House…” is not Heaven, but Jesus Himself – Jesus is the house of God. Not that Heaven does not exist, but it is not the goal. Jesus is the Father’s house, and He makes a place in Himself for us, so that we become a room in that house. This sermon is practical, and it will stretch your brain a bit. (49 minutes 36 seconds)

 Ancient Revival by L.E. Maxwell

Topic:
Scripture(s): 1 Samuel 4:1-3, 1 Samuel 7:3, Isaiah 42:5
Description: Brother Maxwell speaks on the main hindrance to revival in the Scripture, and the main hindrance today: our own sin. The reason we don't see God move is that we think that someone else besides us is blocking the moving of the Spirit. Included is a very interesting narrative about Dr. Ernest M. Wadsworth that documents his efforts for ministers to look inward to unblock the hindrance to revival, as well as many angry church members that called him during the week after being told to 'make your crooked places straight.' "I went to the office of the mayor and was ushered into a private room. After I was seated, he said, 'I heard your sermon yesterday morning, now; man to man, I want to know who's been telling you about me?'"

Believing the Whispers of God by Carter Conlon

Topic: Guidance Of God
Scripture(s): 1 Kings 19:11-13, Isaiah 30:20-21
Description: December 10, 2006 - We may be experiencing adversity and various trials but if you have an honest heart God will instruct us and guide us with His Word. When the Lord has used His servant and His touch has come upon us there is a season of weeping and spiritual fatigue that will follow. It is in these seasons that satan himself will come with roaring accusations and attempt to lead us into a wilderness and a sense of powerlessness. It is complete fiction to believe the devil has any power to take you as a sincere believer from the security of your position through Christ in God. The devil can only come against us with roaring lies but in REALITY he has no power to do this. God Himself will come and whisper His mercy and love to show us we are not alone and evil will not triumph over us. He will vanquish our enemies with a still small voice and comfort and nourish us.
