Escape to the Mountain by Carter Conlon

Topic: Overcoming
Scripture(s): Genesis 19:12-30,Luke 16:1-8,Psalm 121:1
Description: All through scripture, throughout the lives of various saints, the call to come up to the mountain to let him reveal his heart to you. Spiritual laziness and prayerlessness will lead to the loss of passion for Christ and the inability to feed the sheep from the treasure of the Word. We can't know the heart of God until we let God lead us to the place of crucifixion of self. Let him preserve you from selfishness, and settling for less than he has for you. We are called to overcome, to rise above the beggardly elements of this world and stand victorious.

Mercy In Sodom by Voddie Baucham

Topic: Sodom
Scripture(s): Genesis 19:12-14
Description: Genesis 19 is an account of the judgement of God against Sodom and Gomorra. However, the interlude between the first half (establishing Sodom's guilt) and the second half (God's just wrath) of the chapter is a beautiful picture of the mercy of God extended to and through the righteous in the midst of his judgement.

(Genesis) - Part 18 by Zac Poonen

Topic: Genesis
Scripture(s): Genesis 19:14 - 20:18
Description: Lot lost his testimony in Sodom because it is our life that makes our testimony effective. A true disciple is one who is not attached to anything in this world. Abraham's lapse in Gerar is a warning that following great experiences or revelation from God to be very careful. In our judgments of others we need to also be careful, for we may have judged Abraham a liar but God called him a prophet.

When God Rests Under the Tree by Carter Conlon

Topic: Rest Of God
Scripture(s): Genesis 18:1-5
Description: April 10,2005 - The man who is getting close to God becomes increasingly aware of the depth of his failings. God looks to the man who has a broken spirit and a contrite heart, the man who knows he has no resources apart from God. The man who comes to God with the little he has and offers it to Him will be used by God to do the miraculous . It is in this Heart that God can rest.

Our God Can Fix Anything by David Wilkerson

Topic: Impossibilities
Scripture(s): Genesis 18:14, Luke 18:27
Description: This is a faith-building message for all. We often tell folks that there is nothing impossible with God. But do we really believe that in our own lives? If we say this to others then we had best understand and believe that very same thing when it comes to our own lives and walk with God.

The Cry of Sodom and Gomorrah (Kwasizabantu) by David Wilkerson

Topic: Sodom
Scripture(s): Genesis 18:17-21
Description: Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighbouring cities were exceedingly sinful before the Lord. They declared their sins openly. Violence was rampant, and their sexual perversions were not hidden. Their sin reached unto heaven and God could no longer keep silent. God decided to destroy them, but he was looking for someone to turn away His fierce wrath from them. Our society today has surpassed Sodom and Gomorrah in sin. God's judgement is surely coming, even as Billy Graham once said that, "if God does not judge America, He will have to apologise to Sodom and Gomorrah." Lot lived amongst them, but was no testimony. His only concern was for his own safety. He wanted to be saved, and considered the others beyond hope. Many Christians today live similar lives. They consider the homosexuals, rapists and murderers beyond salvation. They pray God's judgement upon them, and not for their salvation.
