(Genesis) - Part 19 by Zac Poonen

Topic: Genesis
Scripture(s): Genesis 21:1-22:10, Hebrews 11:11, Galatians 4:21-31
Description: The birth of Isaac came at the end of Abraham and Sarah laying hold of God by faith despite their ups and downs. Isaac and Isaac contrast believers under the old covenant (done in the strength of the flesh) and those of the new covenant, that which is done supernaturally. God's tests come to see whether He is first in our life. Abraham went against human reason, counted the cost, and obeyed God in offering Isaac, the first mention of worship and also a picture of the resurrection.

When God Asks too Much by William Carrol

Topic: Self Reliance
Scripture(s): Galatians 4:29
Description: Don’t be too quick to comes to God 's defense and say God never asks too much. This message suggests that God ALWAYS asks too much and it is never God's design or desire that we should ever be in a place where we think that what God is requiring is something that we can bring about in our own strength or by our own power. When God first speaks His promises to us there is strong expectancy for the fulfillment of that promise. But as time passes on and we are still waiting the possible begins to seem impossible. It is in these times of delay that our flesh will begin to think that we can make things happen in our own time and our own way. God in His mercy will bring us through the refiner's fire so we can let go of all that we think we are and what we think we are supposed to do. He will refine our gifts and our calling until He has complete ownership and lordship over them.

The Gospel Of Jesus Christ by David Wilkerson

Topic:
Scripture(s): Galatians 1:9
Description: January 11, 2004 - The gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of a cross and self denial. Making a decision for Jesus is not enough. We must be prepared to lay down our life and taking up His cross. The most important need in our lives must be to know Him. David Wilkerson preaches one of his greatest messages while suffering with the flu. You will hear him struggle through this message but in his weakness, God made him strong. He preaches on the true gospel of Jesus Christ and what it entails. As a teaser; The church has to be a place of death before it can be a place of life.

Evangelism of The Jehovah's Witness by Paul Washer

Topic: Jehovah Witness
Scripture(s): 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Galatians 1:9
Description: In this brief message (7 minutes long) Paul Washer reveals three helps in dealing with Jehovah’s Witnesses, which are useful additions to what he says elsewhere in various other messages. Firstly, Christians believe the Bible even if they cannot explain what the Bible says; they do not alter the texts they cannot explain. Secondly, Christians can testify of times of prayer when the presence and power of God fill the heart almost to bursting; it is not so with the Jehovah’s Witness, for God is not with them. Thirdly, check whether the Jehovah’s Witness’ “gospel” conforms to the Gospel that the Apostle Paul preached, using the above scriptures.
