| | The Gifts of the Spirit by William Fitch
Topic: Scripture(s): Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 12,14, Ephesians 4 | | Description: We see how all have at least one gift of the Spirit, how there are many different gifts, but all are from the same Spirit. We see how the gifts cannot be used properly but in accordance with scripture, and how that they will be used for the edification of believers and cannot profit selfish gain. Pastor Fitch talks mostly about the most contentious gift that of Tongues. We also see how no one person has all the gifts of the Spirit but we are supposed to have all the fruits of the Spirit.

| | 36 Principle 32 - Godliness Through the Act of Submission by Principles For The Gathering of Believers
Topic: Audio Books Scripture(s): Ephesians 4:11-12, 1 Peter 5:1-4, Isaiah 14:12-15 | | Description: One of the most important areas of godliness in the life of a believer is the area of submission. If one is not submissive but rebellious in spirit, there is a great danger of pride and sin. Many warnings are given in Scripture towards that state of rebellion and un-submissiveness in a believer’s life. We must recognize God’s sovereignty and rule over all creation, our lives and the Church. We must submit our minds to the authority of Scripture as we submit to God in our spirits; He owns us now.

| | 39 Principle 35 - The Lord Supper The Death of Christ by Principles For The Gathering of Believers
Topic: Audio Books Scripture(s): 1 Corinthians 11:26, Ephesians 2:3, 2 Corinthians 5:21 | | Description: The Lord’s Supper is clearly a New Testament practice that the early disciples kept, as its significance is tied into the end of the age. The Scripture says that as we remember the Lord we are proclaiming His death until He comes back.555 This death is important because by the death of Christ, He took upon Himself our sins and absolved the wrath of God on our behalf.556 What a glorious Good News to celebrate that this is a finished work557 and we do not have to suffer the wrath of God for our sins if we are in Jesus Christ and walking in a life of true discipleship with Him.

Topic: Spiritual Growth Scripture(s): Colossians 3:1-11, 16, Ephesians 2:4 | | Description: One who is living the "ascended life" is one who sees earthly things from a heavenly view, sees Christ's throne reigning over all, and is for the most part freed from self cares and self interests. Brother Dana shares the pitfalls of religion and "soulish ascendancy" that take a believer away from Jesus Christ. (These messages were delivered at Harvey Cedars Conference in October, 2002)

| | Are You Tired Of Being God? by Carter Conlon
Topic: Christian Life Scripture(s): Genesis 12:1-3, Genesis 15:4-8, Ephesians 2:4-6 | | Description: November 28, 2010 - Man's inherent problem is that he thought in himself that he could be God. We all have a sin nature in us that desires to make choices apart from the will of God. God gave us the law as a school master to prove to us that we can't keep it. When we try to struggle our way out of a situation we are being God in that area. When we try to defeat sin in our own strength we are being God in that area. God the Father and Jesus Christ made a covenant with each other to put an end to sin and the power it has over us. It is only when we bend our knee to God and put our faith in the finished work of the Cross the struggle stops and God can be God to us. WE don't make promises to God, He makes them to us and He keeps them. It is not about works, it is all about faith in what Christ has already done.

Topic: Scripture(s): Romans 6:4-7, Colossians 3:1, Ephesians 2:6 | | Description: Dr. Thompson asserts that the goal of Christianity is not a change in location, but a change in what we are. | | Amazing Grace by Russell's Hymns
Topic: Scripture(s): Ephesians 2:8 | | Description: For by grace are ye saved through faith, Ephesians 2:8
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me I once was lost but now am found, Was blind but now I see
Twas grace that taught my heart to fear And grace my fears relieved How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed
The Lord has promised good to me His word my hope secures He will my shield and portion be As long as life endures
Through many dangers, toils, and snares I have already come Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far And grace will lead me home
When weve been there ten-thousand years Bright shining as the sun Weve no less days to sing Gods praise Than when we first begun

| | Chosen to be Holy by Alan Redpath
Topic: Scripture(s): Ephesians 1 | | Description: Alan Redpath speaks with prophetic urgency and in the power of the Holy Spirit. The Church is helpless without the power of the Holy Spirit. In a day and age of techniques and man-made programs this message is like a clarion call to the church of this day. May God impart it to this generation and let us respond to its call!

| | Balance, Not Tangents by George Verwer
Topic: Balance Scripture(s): Acts 20:29, Ephesians 4:15 | | Description: Verwer explains that balance is not compromise but is holding various strong scriptural truths in the light of other strong scriptural truths. He lists many tangents that need to be avoided. Although we must "not be nibblers of the possible but grabbers of the possible" this needs to be held in balance with common sense. There are many tensions that need to be maintained between seeming opposites in the journey to being more Christ-like.
