 Gifts by A.W. Tozer

Topic: Gifts
Scripture(s): John 3:16, Matthew 20:28, Acts 20:35
Description: Length: 40 minutes, 54 seconds. Evident in this message, entitled “Gifts,” is A. W. Tozer’s mastery of homiletics. From John 3:16, Matthew 20:28, Acts 20:35, he asks us to note four truths: 1) the father gave his Son, 2) the Son gave his life, 3) they did so in order that we might be ransomed, and 4) it is more blessed to give than to receive. Dr. Tozer then considers who we might want to thank some day for the gifts that they gave to Jesus. The wise men gave gold (lasting treasure), frankincense (worship), and myrrh (bitter sacrifice); Mary gave her mortal body; Joseph gave his faith; the shepherds gave their reverent wonder; Lazarus and his sisters, Mary and Martha, gave the welcome of their home; the women following Jesus gave a seamless, linen robe; and Joseph of Arimathaea gave his own, new grave. These are the gifts that they gave to Jesus. What might we give him that we might not be outdone in giving?

The Cost of Discipleship by Art Katz

Topic: Cost of Discipleship
Scripture(s): Acts 16:6- 9
Description: The spirit of glibness, instantaneous experiences and gratification, and superficiality has entered our spiritual lives. This message gives us the pattern of God’s way with His servants in the world. God’s Spirit not only leads, but also to give us a check. The Lord is leading us to a relationship that we will know His voice and when He speaks, we will go. We must crucify our flesh, our fears, and just follow Him. Art gives examples both from his own life and Scripture of the Spirit of God leading.

The Sin Of Silence by Laurence White

Topic:
Scripture(s): Acts 5:29
Description: Dr Laurence White delivers a powerful exhortation and warning to the pastors of America to take heed to the times we are living in. We must confess and realize that we have not stood up against the flood of immorality and filth in our society. Our silence and timidity have been our fault, we must stand up and raise our voice to proclaim righteousness and truth in our day.

Revival Series 5 by Leonard Ravenhill

Topic: Revival
Scripture(s): Acts 5:32
Description: A wide-ranging survey of revival history showing the importance of obedience to the Spirit, not only for the "heroes" like John Knox or Evan Roberts, but for the "unseen" saints. We do not know the names of the disciples who let Paul down by the wall in a basket. We hardly notice the men who roll away the stone from Lazarus' tomb. Their work is unspectacular but essential.

63 Principle 59- Networking Small Groups of Believers by Principles For The Gathering of Believers

Topic: Audio Books
Scripture(s): Acts 5:42, Acts 20:20, Luke 22:7-12
Description: As persecution intensifies in certain areas, believers will move to different cities and start home fellowships there also, so that the spreading of these gatherings is something that is continually happening. The Iranians believe that Jesus Christ is with them in their small gatherings and therefore there is a confidence that they are meeting as a Church even if there are just a few believers present. They count it a necessity to network with others and consider themselves all part of one Church. There is no choice to try to find a different church for doctrinal preference or worship style; all believers are content to meet simply with each other.
