Ezek 34:29 And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more. {of renown: or, for renown} {consumed: Heb. taken away}
Have you ever had the privilege of seeing a great plantation? What a variety is to be found there --- the great woods, the springs of sparkling water, the rippling brooks! There the birds sing and the ground gives forth its increase. There is peaceful rest. But the Church, of which Jesus Christ is the Head, is the greatest of all Plantations. There will be found the fruits of the Spirit and the melody of voices united in praises to Him who loved them and gave Himself for them. Himself and His own are united in a great "Plant Of Renouwn" of His own Planting.
Thou blessed "Plant Of Renown", how we thank Thee that we have been grafted into Thee! Amen. |
