Rev 20:11-15,
"11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.
13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.
14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire."

We read that the Lord appeared on a Great White Throne. From His face the earth and heavens fled away.

What must His face have been like if the earth and heavens fled from His face? We do not even have the ability to comprehend it. On the final Judgement Day each one who have not fully surrendered to Christ will find that the earth underneath them will want to flee but it will find no place to hide. Think of His eyes so bright and penetrating that the earth cannot find a place to hide. We take Jesus lightly and play around with Him, but we should fear Him.

The dead stood before His Judgement Throne both great and small. Every single person will have to give account to Him.

There was a certain moral man living a decent life. He always said that the sinners should repent but he was fine. God was gracious to him and gave him a dream where he found himself before the Great White Throne. He expected to be praised for his moral life and good works. He saw himself alone before that Throne, and great terror fell upon him and he trembled. On the side a door opened and he saw another man before the throne. It was his tailor who sowed his suits. This man said, "Lord, I tailored a suit for him but he never paid the full amount. It's been years that he hasn't paid me. The amount was 66 german marks but he only gave me 60. I needed the money and could do nothing, lest he should refuse the suit and I get nothing for my work". After this man spoke, another door opened and a man entered whom he knew too. The man said, "Lord I was in great financial need and owned just one cow. I had to part with this only cow. It's value was 300 marks but this man knowing my need only gave me 200 and I had to accept it." This man's sense of judgement became worse and worse knowing that he was condemned. He awoke in a cold sweat, jumped out of bed, got dressed and with great he haste rushed to those people and paid his debt. Then he fell on his knees and begged for forgiveness from God.

God writes down everything we do on earth in His books in Heaven.

We read in Eccl 11:9, "Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth; walk in the ways of your heart, and in the sight of your eyes; but know that for all these God will bring you into judgment".

God records all your irritation with your family and siblings. Everything you have done is recorded and you will have to give account. What would you do if your life in all its minute details should be revealed right now? What is being written about you in heaven?

We also read here of another book, "The Book of Life". When the disciples rejoiced in miracles being performed through them, Jesus said to them, "rejoice not that demons are subject unto you but that your names are written in the Book of Life". Is your name written in the Book of Life? When the names are read will your name be called?

Those not recorded in the Book of Life will be thrown into the lake of fire with the words from Him on the Throne: "depart from Me you workers of iniquity". Your rejection of Him or disregarding what He tells you is iniquity even if you think yourself to be allright.

God laid our sins upon His Son. Only by coming to God can you experience forgiveness and the cleansing power of the precious Blood which Jesus shed. Then you can stand before God in righteousness because of the judgement upon your sins at Calvary. Should you really want to persist in your sins, then you have to carry them yourself on the Final Day.
