Perfect in Christ. This thought is so unearthly and divine that its full meaning eludes our grasp. It makes us think of our life in Christ and heaven. Perfect in all the will of God. This thought brings us down to earth and daily life; it reminds us that we must place everything under Gods rule, and calls us to live in his will, obeying him in our every action and attitude.
The perfection of the creature is simply this: to will the will of the Creator. Nature has its beauty and glory in being the expression of the divine will. The angels fulfill their purpose by doing Gods will in heaven. The Son of God was perfected through learning obedience, through giving himself up to the will of God, which is the only place of true rest and blessedness.
